“iomart, a leading UK internet services and integrated
telecommunications company, has selected MessagingDirect’s M-Bill
and Sendmail’s large scale hosting solution as best-of-breed
technology to deliver world class email services for business
customers across the UK.
Announced today at the Networks
Telecom Show in Birmingham, the new ASP platform, planned to
support multi million users, will provide email reliability and
security while enabling iomart to target the fast growing
enterprise mail outsourcing market.”

“One of the major advantages of the
Sendmail/MessagingDirect-combined solution is MessagingDirect’s
e-commerce plug-ins, M-Bill/M-Statement, which run over Sendmail’s
commerce-class messaging platform. The solution chosen by iomart is
a strategic platform built by both companies to be a highly
scalable, highly secure and affordable solution for ASPs.”

“As email becomes increasingly mission-critical, demanding 24 x
7 availability, security and support, it is impractical for
companies to manage complex email services internally. iomart’s new
mail service solution will enable companies to outsource their
email services, ensuring they are cost-effective and securely
managed. By tapping into the MessagingDirect and Sendmail
partnership, iomart can offer its customers a means to securely
transmit sensitive information as well as conduct online billing
and payment, which is expected to eventually replace traditional
paper billing.”
