“TurboLinux, the high performance Linux company, today announced
platinum sponsorship support, the highest level, for Linux
Professional Institute (LPI), the leading provider of
vendor-neutral training certification on Linux.”

LPI is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to
standardized, high-quality Linux certification in the spirit of
Linux Standard Base (LSB).

“TurboLinux is committed to Open Source and vendor-neutral
standards bodies for Linux,” said Cliff Miller, CEO of TurboLinux.
“Joining companies such as IBM, SGI and Linuxcare in Platinum level
support for the important work of LPI is a tangible measure of our
commitment. Customers should have the freedom of choice and not be
locked into one vendor in the critical area of certifying Linux
engineers to the highest level. And the market is best served when
certification standards are open and independent, judged and
determined by unbiased experts.”
