it has closed $57 million in a second round of funding, which
included a significant investment by Dell Computer Corporation and
participation by some of the world’s leading IT companies.”

“TurboLinux’s private funding round, the largest to date for a
Linux company, includes strategic investment from more than 20
global enterprise software, hardware and services companies,
including Applix Inc., BEA Systems, Inc., Citrix Systems, Inc.,
Compaq Computer Corp., CSK Venture Capital, CTC, Dell Computer
Corp., Fujitsu Support and Service, Inc., Inprise Corp., Legend
Computer, NEC Corp., Novell Inc., NTT-ME Information Xing, Inc.,
SCO, Seagate Technology Inc., Toshiba Corp. and Toyo Information
Systems Co. Ltd….”

TurboLinux has established itself as a worldwide leader in
high performance Linux clustering and platform interoperability,
building business solutions on Open Source software that integrate
into the enterprise
