California, Vovida Networks will unveil the world’s first Voice
over IP communications system running on a Linux operating system.
Come to booth No. 1329 at the San Jose Convention Center August

“‘We are excited to tell both the Linux community and the rest
of the world about our core product, freeBX(TM),’ said Alan
Knitowski, President, CEO and Co-Founder of Vovida Networks.
‘freeBX(TM) is not only the first Linux-based IP communications
system, but it is also the first communications platform that
protects customers’ investments through open source code
interfaces. Our approach will provide more cost-effective value for
our customers and will free them from the expensive proprietary and
forklift upgrades of the past. Vovida Networks encourages all
vendors to create Linux drivers for their hardware and to
facilitate adoption of Linux as the preferred operating system for
scalable mission- and business-critical IP products.'”

“freeBX(TM) is a fully scalable, flexible IP telephony system
that meets today’s toll quality communications requirements in both
