“Caldera Systems, Inc. today announced that its award-winning
OpenLinux LInux wiZARD (LIZARD) — the industry’s first point and
click install of Linux — and NKFS, Caldera’s kernel file system
module for NetWare, will be freely contributed back to the Linux
industry and available for download (www.openlinux.org) by
September 3, 1999.”

“The award-winning LIZARD install was developed by Caldera
Systems engineers in Germany, and by Troll Tech, a leading software
tools development company in Oslo, Norway.”

“LIZARD makes the transition from Windows to Linux easier for
the new user and reduces down time created by command line
installation. “We were overwhelmed by the response to our OpenLinux
LIZARD install,” said Ransom Love, CEO of Caldera Systems, Inc.
“Both Caldera Systems and the “Trolls” knew we had a winner when
both reviewers and the Fortune 500 said that it was the one feature
they had been waiting for in order to recommend and implement Linux
on the enterprise.”
