“Compaq Computers India and SCO India have together planned to
take active initiatives in offering Linux-based complete solutions
to the enterprise customers. As part of the initiative, Compaq will
train its channel partners across the country on its range of Linux
solutions, while SCO will offer Linux training in its authorized
educational centers.”

“Compaq has a large partner network. We will have training
programs for our channel partners and offer support to our
Linux-based solutions. This will ensure the availability of prompt
services to our customers,” said Compaq India’s director-enterprise
(products) Pallab Talukdar. “Compaq is SCO’s largest partner in
terms of revenue. We now plan to extend our services on SCO?s Linux
offering,” he said.”

“SCO will begin development work on Linux at its development
center in New Delhi. According to SCO India Regional Manager-server
software division CSS Anand, his firm has initiated talks with a
few companies to offer Linux training at SCO authorized education
centers.”
