“Until now, Digium hasn’t said much about its cloud
computing strategy for Asterisk — the wildly popular open
source IP PBX. But cloud computing is set to dominate conversations
at this week’s Digium Asterisk World conference in Miami Beach,
Fla.

channel partner program for VARs and managed services providers
(VARs. And some customers have embraced Asterisk as a unified
communications alternative to giants like Cisco Systems and
Avaya.

“But Digium has been strangely quiet about cloud computing even
as more and more cloud services providers and managed services
providers introduce hosted PBX and hosted VoIP solutions.”
