The company expected to sell 4.4. million shares at $11 to
$13 apiece. It raised that estimate to $21 to $23 this week. But
when it sold the shares today, they went for $30….

“Linux stocks were hotter than usual today as several companies
wedded to the open-source operating system saw their stocks climb
in midday trading. Andover.Net, a news, programming and software
site that went public yesterday, rose 25 percent to a new high of
79….”

“VA Linux is expected to begin public trading later today on the
Nasdaq market under the symbol “LNUX.”
