“Texas Instruments, Telecom Italia and Chinese
telecommunications company ZTE have joined the Linux Phone
Standards (LiPS) Forum, the consortium said Wednesday. The effort
is seeking to standardize the behavior of Linux on mobile phones to
ease development, but it overlaps somewhat with a similar effort at
