“The Santa Cruz Operation Tuesday unveiled UnixWare 7 Webtop, a
Web-based interface that lets you access a UnixWare 7
system and its applications from any Java-enabled browser.

Through the Webtop you can use UnixWare 7 applications even if
you have no UnixWare 7 know-how. Webtop administrators will control
which applications are available to users, who will get a custom
set of programs.”

“The Webtop is technology built into Tarantella, SCO’s
application broker product, which Web-enables applications on UNIX,
mainframe, or Windows servers. The Webtop works with UnixWare 7 and
‘delivers the Web as the user interface,’ says Kristen Axline,
SCO’s director of business development.”
