Maddog to Speak on Making Money and Saving Money with Open
Source

Jon “Maddog” Hall, Bruce Perens, and Larry Rosen are amongst the
speakers featured at a special Open Source Plenary at The Open
Group Conference in Cannes, France on October 14.

Maddog’s talk entitled “Linux and Open Source: The dollars and
sense of it” will relate Open Source to those two things important
to all of us….making money and saving money.

Bruce Perens will be giving his views on the future of Open
Source, and Larry Rosen will be providing his insight into the
intellectual property issues.

The full speaker lineup includes: Andrew Josey, The Open Group;
Jon “Maddog” Hall, Executive Director Linux International; Bruce
Perens, Author of the Open Source Definition; Mary Ann Fisher,
Linux Program Director, Public Sector IBM Corporation; Larry Rosen,
Lawyer and Open Source licensing expert; Dirk-Willem van Gulik,
President of the Apache Software Foundation and others.
