RMS will speak on 2002-10-23 in Stanford

Richard M. Stallman will deliver a speech, entitled “The Free
Software Movement and the GNU/Linux Operating System”, on Wednesday
23 October 2002 starting at 16:15. The event will be held at the
Gates Computer Science Building of Stanford University.

GNU stickers will be available without charge.

The speech takes place in room B03 of the Gates Computer Science
Building.

Open Source, Then and Now by Ian Murdock

The Indiana IT Association (INITA) invites you to the IT
Professionals Peer Group at Netheads in Broad Ripple at 6:00 p.m.
on Tuesday, October 15th. Seating is limited so please RSVP. Food
and beverages will be provided (Union Jack’s Pizza!). Event is FREE
to all IT professionals.

Ian Murdock, the founder of the Debian project, Purdue Computer
Science graduate, and co-founder and Chairman of Progeny Systems.
Ian will be speaking to us about the beginnings of Linux and his
