By now, I figure you’ve all heard of the Halloween documents.
Should these memos cause anything to change in the way the
open-source community operates? For the most part, I think not.
The folks at Troll Tech have finally relented in the controversy
surrounding its license for the Qt library. Starting with version
2.0, it will have an open source license.
I recently heard second-hand of someone asking the question: Is
this Linux thing some sort of cult?
At first I just chuckled and passed it off, but then I got to
thinking later that this is an interesting question.
