“IBM is taking aim at the Internet service provider market with
a new thin server to be available by the end of the month.

The Netfinity 4000R, code named Intimidator, will be just
1.5 inches thick and stack 42 units high.
Priced from $3,000
to $4,000 depending on configuration, the 4000R includes two
500-MHz Pentium III processors and will run Linux and Windows NT
operating systems.

IBM this month will also unveil the Netfinity R6000 Model B50,
called Pizazz. It’s comparable with the 4000R in size and
performance but runs Linux and AIX for RISC platforms.”
