“The company said Monday it will release preview versions of its
Directory Server, Messaging Server and Delegated Administrator
products for the upstart operating system, which is the focus of
LinuxWorld this week in San Jose, Calif.

Netscape, based here [Mountain View, CA], ‘has been very
successful selling into telcos and ISPs that want to do corporate
hosting, and that’s one of the marketplaces where Linux is
strongest,’ said Kevin Tsurutome, group product manager for Linux
servers.

Public preview releases of the Linux versions of Directory
Server and Delegated Administrator–a recently launched management
console that splits user management to extranet resources among
corporations and their partners–will be available for download
from Netscape’s Web site tomorrow. “
