“The Santa Cruz Operation Inc. plans a version of its
cross-platform Tarantella Web-enabling middleware for
Linux.”

“Santa Cruz, Calif.-based SCO said it would make Tarantella
available in the second quarter of the year and rolled out
agreements with Linux vendors Caldera Systems Inc., SuSe Corp. and
TurboLinux Inc.”

“But while Tarantella will be offered on the open-source
operating system, it is itself proprietary and will remain so, the
company said.”
