“The various Linux GUIs that are available today have gone a
long way to hiding the text based foundations on which Linux was
built, but you will still need to use the terminal quite a bit for
every day tasks. While the terminal is (very) functional, it is not
exactly pretty to look at. This doesn’t have to be the case though.
The terminal can be customized in a number of ways, and an
application called Bashish makes it easy to pimp out your
prompt.”
