Daily Yomiuri: Internet TV Makes a Comeback Using New OS

“Television with Internet connection has been reintroduced to
the market seven years after its unsuccessful debut. This time,
televisions are hooked up with high-speed connections, such as
ADSL, and enhanced interactivity, which is one of the
characteristics of digital broadcasting.

“Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. introduced in May a
television with a built-in BS/110 CS digital tuner and an Internet
connection capability that is exclusive to television. It is
