Demolinux.org: New Portugese Section Opens

[ Linux Today reader Stefane Fermigier writes: ]

“The Demolinux Website, home of the DemoLinux demonstration
distribution, just opened a portugese section, thanks to the
translation efforts of Alfredo Palace Carvalho (ajpc at poli.org).
This furthers the internationalization effort of the site, which is
already fully available in french, english and german, and
partially available in italian and spanish.

Demolinux, currently at version 1.0, is a Linux distribution
on a CD-ROM that allows to run Linux without installation, disk
partitioning and other hassles.
Based on technologies
developped by Red Hat, Mandrake and SuSE, its core is a Mandrake
5.3, although the kernel, X server and a wealth of other components
are much more recent.

The DemoLinux distribution is available for FTP download (600 Mb
ISO image or 200 Mb compressed ISO image) from www.demolinux.org and numerous
mirrors. It has also been distributed with the french magazine “PC
MAX”, and interested publications are welcome to contact info@demolinux.org.

New versions of DemoLinux will appear during December. We’ll
keep you informed.”
