DesktopLinux: UN-Funded Group to Target Developing World with Desktop Linux LiveCD

“The United Nations-funded UNDP-APDIP International Open Source
Network (IOSN) has published a free preview of its upcoming LiveCD
that will allow computer users to experience the Linux desktop
without requiring installation of the open source OS their PCs.

“The UN-sponsored program targets the need for low cost open
source Linux to help stimulate the economies of developing nations.
As part of their efforts, the IOSN is promoting the use of Linux on
the desktop.
