“ELX BizDesk 4.0 is the latest incarnation of a product that was
first unleashed in the middle of 2002 by Hyderabad-based Everyone’s
Linux Pvt Ltd, who claim to be the first Indian Linux distribution
company to have entered the software market. Loosely based on Red
Hat Linux 9, BizDesk 4.0 is designed primarily for corporate users
who are looking for a drop-in replacement for Microsoft Windows and
Office. Although ELX products receive the occasional mention in the
wider press, a comprehensive review has not been undertaken since
at least 2002. So what is BizDesk like in the year 2004, two years
