Dialtone’s line of Linux servers now feature Sphera’s
HostingDirector, which should enable ISPs’ customers to automate
complex and labor-intensive management tasks, reducing admin
costs.

Sphera Corporation and Dialtone Internet announced AutoHost, a
dedicated Linux server line designed to support premium Web
hosting.

Dialtone Internet added HostingDirector’s capabilities to its
AutoHost product line to provide their customers’ supply chains
with multi-layer service automation and plug-ins for over 50
applications on a highly scalable, open architecture platform.

According to the companies, Dialtone Internet was looking for a
way to let its Webhosting customers automate their complex and
labor-intensive management tasks, which included adding sites and
applications, establishing Web infrastructures, and setting up
provision accounts. The companies claim that Sphera’s
HostingDirector software simplifies these time consuming IT
operations, which, in turn, can reduce administration costs.

Dialtone’s AutoHost line should now let Web hosts transform and
differentiate their businesses with advanced services, and perform
monitoring and reporting on usage activity to ensure security,
availability, and reliability. By offering dedicated server
performance on a shared server, expediting complex processes, and
reducing time-to-market for new applications, Sphera’s scalable,
open solution may deliver higher, measurable value to both the
hosting provider and the end-user.

“AutoHost servers offer many benefits to ISPs,” says Al
Albarracin, Dialtone Internet President and CEO. “AutoHost gives
the end-user all the features of a dedicated server in a shared
account, adding great value to the VDS compared to a regular shared
account. AutoHost empowers the end user to provision applications,
email and ftp accounts, email aliases on demand, which decreases
the load on the server administrator. The automation features of
AutoHost reduce the time and level of expertise required to manage
networks, and also eliminates many human errors.”

“Both Sphera and Dialtone Internet understand the challenges
faced by Webhosting providers, and we’ve developed solutions that
face them head on,” said Tamar Naor, CEO of Sphera Corporation.
HostingDirector’s highly scalable architecture will give Dialtone’s
AutoHost customers the cost effective solution they demand for
their growing businesses, making this an ideal partnership for both
companies.”

“HostingDirector is by far the best ‘out-of-the-box’ solution
for high-end hosting,” adds Albarracin. “It is the only product we
found that allows our customers to streamline management tasks
without any specialized equipment or a steep learning curve.”

AutoHost is available now.
