“TurboLinux is to Asia what Red Hat is to the US, and SuSE to
Europe. It is the Linux heavyweight in its region. Which when you
consider that it is based near San Francisco and only has branch
offices in Asia is rather amazing.”

“TurboLinux, recently having merged with Linuxcare, was founded
in 1992 near San Francisco and has grown to have offices around the
globe. TurboLinux’s main focus is enterprise computing, having
developed relationships with IBM, Compaq, Hewlett Packard and
Oracle. One of their main products is TurboLinux Cluster Server,
which they have focused squarely at the high-tech industries such
as aerospace, biotechnology, and finance. Many of their server
products are pre-tuned to run IBM’s DB2 and Oracle’s Oracle 8i
database products.”

“…Don’t let the score fool you. TurboLinux is a decent
distribution that will bring much value for the average user.
Keeping current has been sacrificed to bring you speed and
stability. Factors that ought to be front of mind when considering
a primary workstation. On the whole TurboLinux is worth
trying.
