“The brighter Side:

“1- Your Chromebook will boot in just about 8 seconds. Yes, 8
seconds! No unnecessary software will be loaded. It will boot
quickly and resume your web session, taking you to your favorite
site in just few seconds.

“2- The Chromebook is designed to give you a better internet
experience; the websites will load faster and run smoother.
Chromebook will support all the latest web standards, including
Flash.

“Darker Side:

“1- The first consequence that comes in my mind, is what would
the netbook do in the absence of internet? No matter what, we can’t
deny the fact that we cannot completely rely on a hardware that
works with internet, and its nothing in itself. You will have just
a handful of apps (thanks to HTML 5) that will work when you are
offline.

“2- The Chromebook is just like a powerful remote, with which
you can control the data and apps and the cloud, behind the show is
a powerful server. Just imagine a rare but possible consequence;
the server gets down for any reason anyhow. Then again you will be
deprived of your data. And a worst case you need the data urgently,
you won’t have any option left.”
