The German Telekom subsidiary DeTeCSM says they are the first
customer to put into operation an installation of R/3-Systems under
Linux. Compaq demonstrated a prototype of this system at CeBIT. The
syst em is an eightfold Xeon server (Compaq Proliant series)
running Red Hat Linux 6.0, SAP R/3 4.0b, and Oracle 8.05.

Technicians from DeTeCSM’s Magdeburg computer center said the
system is running perfectly so far. Currently they are running some
benchmarks. Details to follow.
