Fluendo S.A. announces its first webinar entitled
“Solving the Legal Puzzle of Linux Deployments” aimed understanding
the legal implications o0f Linux deployments.

Fluendo is an established leading provider of multimedia
plug-ins for the GNU/Linux Market, and has succeeded in offering
legal end-to-end solutions working with multiple formats and
platforms.

For the last few years, and especially in the current economic
climate, many businesses are opting to use Linux to reduce their
licensing and development costs. By doing this, they have realized
that Linux offers other benefits aside from just cutting expenses:
Linux users enjoy a robust, flexible and adaptable Operating System
with a great choice of tools for productivity and business
applications. As any other software, Linux deployments are subject
to copyright, trademarks, patents, etc. This sometimes constitutes
a real challenge, when it shouldn’t be.

To shed some light on these matters, next May the 14th Fluendo
will be hosting a free webinar featuring two recognized experts in
Intellectual Property, Free and Open Source Software and Patent
Licenses. They will discuss before European and American audiences
some of the challenges that governments, enterprises, education,
and all kinds of organizations face when decide to migrate to
Linux.

Fri 14 May 2010 / 08:00am PST-11:00am EST
