FOSDEM 2003 Support Operation Brussels, Free and Open Source Software Developers' European Meeting, February 8 and 9 The FOSDEM is a free and non-commercial event for the community and organised by the community. To keep the event free, and non-commercial, we think the best way to help funding the event is to get support from the community on a voluntary basis. Therefore, FOSDEM is now gratefully accepting financial donations from visitors. Generous donators will get the chance to receive back packages corresponding to the amounts contributed (T-shirts, free subscribptions to magazines, O'Reilly books and pocket guides, ...). Please see the website for more information: http://www.fosdem.org/index/support The FOSDEM 2003 will host talks, tutorials, developers' rooms, and also the Free Software Award ceremony with Richard Stallman. The FOSDEM also published this week 3 interviews of speakers coming for the "databases" track during the event: - Bruce Momjian, PostgreSQL Core Developer: http://www.fosdem.org/index/interviews/interviews_momjian - David Axmark, MySQL developer, http://www.fosdem.org/index/interviews/interviews_interview_8 - Ann Harrison, Firebird, http://www.fosdem.org/index/interviews/interviews_harrison FOSDEM 's goal is to provide Free and Open Source developers and communities a place to go over the lastest developments in the Free and Open Source arena and to promote the development and the benefits of Free and Open Source solutions.
