“Microsoft is trying to come off like it’s supporting small
business owners and supporting technical innovation. In some ways,
it is. Meanwhile, the company finds no creative place to invest
their dividends–hello! Why not put more into small tech companies
and tech education projects globally? Why give it back to
investors?–and is tying itself to big brands in its space–AOL and
Yahoo, amongst them. It looks like the company has run out of
creative juice, and is looking for new ways to harness revenue. So
they’re exploring legal ways to get paid for Open Source
projects…”
