The GNOME 3.8 desktop environment has been officially released on March 27, 2013, and it brought lots of nice features.

Among them, we can mention Python 3 porting, a port of GNOME Shell to use XI2, and much more.

One of the unknown features of GNOME 3.8 is the ability to easily connect to ownCloud accounts via the GNOME Online Accounts application found in the Settings panel.
