“openSUSE 11.2 introduced features such as Linux kernel
2.6.31.5, EXT4 as the default filesystem, the GNOME 2.28.0 and KDE
4.3.1 desktop environments, X.Org 7.4, X.Org server 1.6.5, new
artwork, the Slab Main Menu for GNOME, OpenOffice.org 3.1, USB
installation support, WebYaST, and much more.

“With regrets, the openSUSE developers, through Marcus Meissner,
announced on March 24th that there will be no more updates coming
for the openSUSE 11.2 Linux distribution, starting with May 12th,
2011.

“Support for openSUSE 11.2 will be officially droped, which
means that starting with May 12th, 2011, the openSUSE project will
stop “feeding” the openSUSE 11.2 operating system with security or
critical fixes, and software updates.”
