Googler is an open source tool to Google from the command-line. It’s written in Python, so that ticks another box for me. This tool lets you search Google Web and Google News from the command-line the way *you* want. Searches display the title, URL, and abstract for each result, which can be directly opened in a browser (text or graphical), from the terminal. The results are fetched in pages, and there’s page navigation too.
