“As you will remember, there were three AutoZone motions before
the court, the Motion to Stay, the Motion to Transfer, and the
Motion for a More Definite Statement. Only the Motion to Stay was
ruled on at the hearing. There was no ruling on the Motion to
Transfer at this time. In fact, after AutoZone presented its
argument on that point, when SCO’s attorney asked if he should
present argument on the matter, the judge told him no, that he was
just going to order a stay. The Motion for a More Definite
Statement never got discussed by either side, for the same reason,
presumably. Later, if the stay is ever lifted, those issues can
resurface…”
