“From the Lorma College in the Philippines comes another server
release. This time it is a dedicated Samba fileserver based on
Slackware 10. This is a departure from their desktop releases in
that the have decided to use Slackware instead of Fedora. Being a
former Slackware user (is there such a thing?) and having always
been fond of Slack’s no nonsense approach, this release piqued my
interest since I have a need for some storage of all my TV
recordings. This review will focus on the installation, setup,
configuration and a few gotchas I encountered.

“I first read about this release on Distrowatch and immediately
decided to grab the iso. Kudos to the Lorma folks for having a nice
pipe to pull the iso from. The iso is approx 225MB. Size-wise it is
not too bad at all…”
