“MIE does not appear to be fully ready yet, but I spent
a few minutes with it and it was very easy to use. It may just be a
nice UI put on top of Ubuntu, but based on the less than stellar
results we have seen so far from Linux on netbooks (at least from
the perspective of the average consumer) this could be a great move
for HP. The savings of $20 ($379 versus $399) may not be enough to
really get consumer’s attention, but if they understand what they
are getting it might end up offering a great user
experience.”
