Thanks to Jay Urbanski for
the tip.

IBM today released a driver for it’s ServeRAID family of
high-performance RAID controllers as GPL – a first among major
systems vendors.

The ServeRAID device driver has been developed (and tested)
under RedHat Linux 6.0 (Kernel 2.2.5 and 2.2.9). This driver is
being released as BETA software under the terms of the GNU Public
License.

The ServeRAID for Linux device driver works with the following
controllers:

  • ServeRAID I
  • ServeRAID II
  • ServeRAID 3H
  • ServeRAID 3L
  • ServeRAID on the Planer (IBM PC Server 330)
  • ServeRAID on the Planer (Netfinity 5500)

The driver can be found at
