ICS’ BX PRO, Leading UNIX GUI Builder Now Supports SuSE Linux

Release Targeted at Corporate Developers Worldwide.

CAMBRIDGE, MA, May 4, 1999 — Integrated Computer Solutions,
Inc. (ICS), the leading supplier of user interface development
tools for UNIX, today announced that its flagship product, Builder
Xcessory (BX PRO(tm)), is now available for SuSE Linux. BX PRO is
the GUI builder preferred by UNIX software developers because its
WYSIWYG environment simplifies and speeds the creation of user
interfaces.

ICS has ported the latest BX PRO release, V5.0.5, to SuSE 6.1.
BX PRO 5.0 consists of Builder Xcessory(tm), the industry’s most
advanced graphical user interface builder for Motif; ViewKit(tm), a
flexible and mature C++ reuse framework that can be tailored to
accommodate the specific needs of individual businesses; and
EnhancementPak(tm), a library of 34 reusable components including
business graphs and sophisticated user interface controls. More
detailed product information is available under the Products
section of the ICS home page at http://www.ics.com.

“We chose to support BX PRO on SuSE Linux because of their focus
on corporate developers. With over 950 software packages, including
world class database software from Informix and Sybase, SuSE Linux
provides the best distribution of Linux for corporate developers,”
said Peter Winston, ICS president. “Long the most popular
distribution of Linux in Europe, with 30,000 installed business
customers, we believe that SuSE’s commitment to partnerships with
ISV’s and VAR’s like ICS, will help them to be successful in the
USA too.”

“One of our goals is to ensure that corporate developers have
the best available tools to do their job on Linux,” said Marc
Torres, President of SuSE “We’re pleased that this focus has paid
off in ICS porting the industry’s leading GUI builder for Motif to
SuSE Linux. This will help speed the adoption of Linux by mission
critical developers, many of which use ICS’ BX PRO.”

Pricing and Availability
BX PRO for SuSE is available immediately.

ICS is giving away 100 Personal Use licenses to BX PRO every
week through June 11th to developers registering at the special ICS

About ICS
Founded in 1987, Integrated Computer Solutions, Inc., headquartered
in Cambridge, MA, provides user interface development tools for
UNIX developers that promote rapid application development and
software reuse. ICS’ products are used by corporate developers to
create custom, mission critical applications that are not available
“off-the-shelf.” When a Boeing airplane flies, a financial
transaction is performed on Wall Street, a subway train of the
Boston MBTA is switched onto the right track, a network
communication problem is diagnosed and bypassed by US West, a
family is entertained by the latest animated movie from Walt
Disney, a US defense system built by Lockheed is tested in a drill
or real combat, or a spacecraft is launched into space by NASA, an
ICS product was probably used in the creation of the custom
software that made it possible.

ICS is also a leader in Java and X/Motif training. In addition,
ICS provides quality technical support and consulting services,
which further allow developers to be successful. The Open Group
recently selected ICS to provide front line support for their Motif
source code licensees recognizing ICS’ unique expertise in Motif
and the X Window System. For further information on ICS, its
