IDG Award Program Recognizes Exceptional Linux Community Support; Attendees to Vote on Their “Favorites” at LinuxWorld Conference & Expo

“IDG World Expo announced today two award programs being offered
at the upcoming LinuxWorld Conference & Expo. The IDG/Linus
Torvalds Community Award, a $25,000 award, is to be shared equally
between two recipients that have established themselves as Linux
developers and visionaries in the community. In addition, 10
LinuxWorld Conference & Expo “Favorites” Awards will be offered
to exhibitors for their recognized achievements, developments and
outstanding support of Linux-based technologies. The IDG/Linus
Torvalds Community Award and LinuxWorld Conference & Expo
“Favorites” Awards will be presented at the LinuxWorld Conference
& Expo taking place on March 1 – 4, 1999 at the San Jose
Convention Center in San Jose, CA.”
