IndyBox Systems Donates the World’s First Athlon Web Server to the Indianapolis LUG

“Today, IndyBox Systems (based in Indianapolis, Indiana), the
world’s leading manufacturer of Linux computers, announced they
have donated what is believed to be the first AMD Athlon ‘K7’ based
Linux web server to INLUC (Indianapolis Linux Users Consortium) a
non-profit, Indiana corporation which was founded in 1994 by Ray
Cotten.”

“IndyBox Systems Chief Executive Charles Martin said ‘the INLUC
web server was comprised of many donated components which was based
on Intel’s 486 33MHz processor — IndyBox felt the need and had the
resources to fill the void in our LUG’s web server performance.
INLUC is working on many new and exciting projects that will
benefit many Linux users world wide. We want to provide an
optimized work environment, with the latest and fastest
technologies available. We want to share the raw processing power
of this system with the members and officers of the largest LUG in
the Midwest, INLUC.'”
