“In this chapter, you learn how to do a basic installation of
Fedora Core. You’ll see how to boot and then install Fedora using
the CD-ROMs included with this book. The chapter first shows how to
prepare and research your install, choose a strategy on how Fedora
will use your computer’s hard drive, decide how to boot Fedora, and
then how to complete the Fedora Core installation. You’ll get a
step-by-step walk through of a sample installation, and then you
learn how to log in to Fedora and shut down or reboot the
system.
