Informix will soon announce the continued success it is enjoying
with its Linux program. The company has now distributed over
310,000 copies of its databases on Linux. Products have been
distributed to all corners of the globe, with the greatest
percentage of downloads in Europe and the United States.
Because of to this tremendous interest in its Linux program and
as a way to express continued commitment to the Linux community,
Informix plans to announce that it will extend its “$99 for 99
Days” pricing promotion for Informix Dynamic Server, Linux Edition
Suite. The original promotion was scheduled to conclude at the end
of April and now will be extended another 99 days. During the
program, a single user license of Informix Dynamic Server, Linux
Edition Suite is available at an unparalleled price of $99.
Informix is also working on an expanded marketing and support
relationship with Red Hat Software. The two companies are now
finalizing details of this new arrangement, which should be
announced soon.
