InfoWorld: BEA makes a move on Linux development community

“BEA Systems on Thursday at Linux Expo delivered two of its
mainstay middleware and Java application server products, Tuxedo
and WebLogic Server, on Intel-based Linux platforms.

“The move allows Linux developers to write applications once and
then deploy them on some 50 platforms that BEA supports “without
modifying the code,” said BEA at the show in Raleigh, N.C.

“BEA is also trying to attract Linux developers to access and
employ BEA middleware via a new developer promotion, which provides
a free, single-user evaluation license of BEA Tuxedo…”
