“Computer Associates on Tuesday detailed three initiatives in
Linux, including moving its full-fledged Unicenter TNG management
platform to the Unix offshoot OS.

“Linux offerings for the Ingres II database and MasterIT Web
site management system were also announced.”

“What this means is that not only can people manage Linux
environments, but they actually can manage their entire enterprise
from the Linux environment,”
said Yogesh Gupta, CA senior vice
president of product strategy.

“Unicenter TNG for Linux is available now for Linux variants
from Red Hat Software, Caldera Systems, S.u.S.E., and TurboLinux.
Prices vary based on configuration.”
