made an aggressive move to consolidate its position in the open
source movement Monday, announcing it was merging with Cygnus
Solutions in a deal worth $674 million.”
“As part of the deal, Red Hat President and CEO Bob Young will
become chairman of the new company. Cygnus’ Matthew Szulik will
take over the CEO and president roles of the newly formed company,
which will retain the Red Hat moniker.”
