“Beefing up its support structure for Linux, Red Hat Software
has announced that Global Knowledge, one of the largest IT training
companies, is to provide Red Hat’s training and certification
including its Certified Engineer program.”

“The Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) program requires
programmers to take performance-based practical exams where
programmers must demonstrate the ability to install and configure
Linux, set up common network services, carry out key administrative
tasks, perform diagnostic tests and troubleshooting, and several
other administrative tasks.”

“‘Global Knowledge’s technical expertise in Unix and
internetworking makes them a great partner for Linux users that
need to work closely with a training partner,’ said Tim Buckley,
senior vice president and COO at Red Hat.”
