InfoWorld: SCO’s latest UnixWare dons simpler interface

“In an attempt to shore up its strength with small and midsize
businesses and direct its customers to the UnixWare platform, SCO
on Tuesday announced UnixWare 7, Release 7.1, and introduced the
Webtop to its Unix operating system.”

“UnixWare 7.1 also adds support for Linux applications on both
the client and the server. Rather than feeling threatened by Linux
which, like UnixWare and SCO OpenServer, is primarily used on the
Intel platform, officials on Tuesday welcomed more use of
Linux.”
