announced on Tuesday afternoon, offering users the ability to
connect to the Google Talk network using either Google’s own
software or any Jabber-compatible IM client…

“Late Tuesday, the Google Talk page went live, offering users
the ability to download Google’s Windows-only IM client as well as
instructions on how to use Jabber-capable clients on other
platforms, including iChat and Adium on Mac OS X, Trillian on
Windows, and GAIM on Linux and other Unix systems…”
