“After weeks of Wall Street going bonkers over any company
that mentioned Linux in a press release, investors will finally get
a real Linux company to trade as VA Linux (Proposed ticker: LNUX)
launches its IPO.”

“Computer systems vendor VA Linux, scheduled to trade Thursday,
may not be Red Hat (Nasdaq: RHAT), but its Securities and Exchange
Commission filings reveal a company with real revenue, a strong
customer base and all the makings to be a big player as the open
source Linux operating system gains steam.”

“Technically, there are two Linux IPOs this week — Andover.net
(Proposed ticker: ANDN) also will trade this week. VA Linux,
however, stands tall over Andover.net, a Linux portal, in terms of
business fundamentals.”
