Italian Panel PC Runs Linux

“Bologna, Italy-based TBE has announced a Linux-based panel PC
aimed at HMI (human-machine interface) applications. Available with
an integrated 6.4-inch touchscreen display or as a processor
module, the GNU-Linux-based Terminale Grafico ARM-Linux is based on
a 200MHz Cirrus Logic EP9315 SoC.

“TBE is positioning the 7.7 x 5.1 x 2.2-inch Terminale Grafico
arm-Linux as a touchscreen system for automation control, a market
where the company is particularly strong in the textile industry,
it says. The 920T-based core and MMU (memory management unit) are
supported with 64MB SDRAM and 32MB NOR flash, and the system is
equipped with one fast Ethernet port, three USB ports, three UART
ports and a JTAG test access port…”
