KDE developer Eike Hein is announcing that the KDE Plasma 5.10 desktop environment will come with a brand-new look (sort of). According to the developer, the Folder View will be used by default for the upcoming release instead of that Desktop widget you’re probably removing every time you reinstall your KDE-based distribution. In January, we told you that the KDE devs are preparing a cool new functionality for the Folder View in the KDE Plasma 5.10 release, namely spring-loading. This lets users navigate folders just by hovering above them with the mouse cursor during a drag and drop operation when you want to copy or move files and folders.
