Beginning with the November 08, 1999 Basic System Administrator
course, LearnLinux will incorporate certification with
training.

Company president Mark Stingley remarked, “We’ve been studying
the certification aspects from the beginning, and decided that the
best time to evaluate skills is during training. Although we have
patterned our training after skills requirements of the major Linux
distributions and the LPI’s Certification program, we are remaining
independent at this time. What our certification means is (1) We
would hire this person, and (2) We stake our reputation on their
skills. You can’t ask more than that of a certifying
authority.:

Students will have to decide at the beginning of classes if they
want to be evaluated, or not.

LearnLinux courses are conducted in the 12 seat classroom on
Pentium-II workstation with 17 inch monitors. Located in the West
End of Downtown Dallas, LearnLinux is convenient to hotels, motels,
parking, shopping, entertainment, and eating. Classes range from
$200.00 half days to $1,500 for a 5 day course, and after hours
tutoring is available at $50.00 per hour.

Also, job placement assistance is provided for those who
graduate.

Those interested are urged to attend prior to January. There is
a planned price increase.
